leaky front windshield (seal)

I noticed a few weeks ago that I have a small leak coming in through the front windshield. I only notice it when the truck is parked slightly uphill, and have never noticed it driving. So there is probably a leak in the seal st that spot, and water collects between the metal protective /decorative piece and the roof of the truck, then flows down past the seal. I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to fix this without replacing the seal.

you can use the all-temp silicon (in a chaulking gun) but that's really just a temporary solution. It will leak again.

The right way is to replace the seal. If you want to delay that job, feel free.

It's really not that difficult either... all you need is a metal wire (guitar string even), two key rings, and a small screwdriver. Push the wire through the seal, attach the key rings... then slice around and pick off all of the old seal. Apply new seal, place windshield in same place, press down a bit until dry, then reinstall the trim.

Two hour job for the inexperienced. One for the pro.
