hey my truck(77' I6) is making a ticking/sucking sort of noise and it is missing out a bit...
when i plug up the pcv valve it stops... the valve is not broken i went and bought a new one and it does it to. and ideas?
You got a vacuum leak. The PCV valve is a designed leak. By blocking it off your compensating for a leak elsewhere. There is another possibility. If you have a leak in your block then your PCV valve will pull to much air. Do you have a massive oil leak? Are your power brakes working O.K.? If the pedal is rock hard, you could have a lack of vacuum. Check your Choke. Often they leak due to the absence of the thermal wand which is supposed to attach to the exhaust manifold.
Got to go. Good Luck, Have Fun,
