hey my truck(77' I6) is making a ticking/sucking sort of noise and it is missing out a bit...
when i plug up the pcv valve it stops... the valve is not broken i went and bought a new one and it does it to. and ideas?

You got a vacuum leak. The PCV valve is a designed leak. By blocking it off your compensating for a leak elsewhere. There is another possibility. If you have a leak in your block then your PCV valve will pull to much air. Do you have a massive oil leak? Are your power brakes working O.K.? If the pedal is rock hard, you could have a lack of vacuum. Check your Choke. Often they leak due to the absence of the thermal wand which is supposed to attach to the exhaust manifold.
