computer help

my 88 bronco wont start the fuel pump wouldnt come on so i jumper wired it and it pumps and i have fuel pressure at the rail so a guy put a snapon scanner on it and it said could not communicate so he said it was the computerdoes this sound right but i cant find the right computer #E9TF-12A650-AL2A does anyone have any suggestions or what other computers will work thanks in advance

have you checked the inertia switch?

Check the fuel pump relay AND the EEC (brown/blk)relay
