quick stroker question

quick stroker question

stroking my 351 to 393, i need a 3.850" stroke crank? I've got the pistons for the budget stroker just need the crank now.

Yes.
One you might consider is a crank from the Ford Motorsport catalog.
Part # M-6303-B385. Specs for this crank: 392 ci with .030 overbore, forged steel, 3.85 stroke, 3.00 main journal (same as stock 351W), 2.311 rod journal diameter, 1.690 rod journal width. For use with '71-97 351W blocks. Requires balancing, BTW. Suggested price: $850. Use your stock rods and 302 pistons.

that is crazy expensive for a crank. shouldnt have to pay more then $300 for a crank in your application.

here is where I am getting my crank from. Looks like a stand up business and fairly cheep as well.

Summit has a 3.85" windsor crank for $299, I believe its made by eagle.

There are many places that sell reputable cranks made by Eagle or Scat, or others. Summit, Jegs, etc. But when I was searching for my 302 stroker kit, the best price I found was at www.northernautoparts.com. I bought a complete bottom end for $140 less than anywhere else. And the 75 lbs of steel they shipped me only cost me $8.!
