Water Pump Question
I just bought a 1977 F-250 Custom, with a 351-M, and a 4-Speed. This is my first Ford truck, so I don't know too much about them yet. My question is about the water pump. The 351-M needs a new water pump. I have a water pump that I never used for my 302 Mustang project. My 302 came out of a '73 Torino. Will the water pump I have for the 302 fit the 351-M? Normally I could pull the old water pump out and check to see if they were the same, but I am still waiting for the truck to be delivered. I am just trying to get a head start, and order any parts I may need. Also what is the best website for ford parts? I need a bunch of stuff including a set of headers and complete dual exhaust system, steering wheel, and other misc. accessories. Any help is appreciated. Water Pump Question
I've been suprised that my local parts store has had most engine parts that I needed. Fuel pump, water pump, full gasket set, timing chain, oil pump, even calpers, drums, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings. Most in stock too.
On the water pump, check the part number on it, and compare it to the computer at the parts store.
