All,
Thanks for all the suggestions. It's great to have a site like this where you can get honest feedback. The dealer certainly didn't have real world experience with these trucks. The suggestions given willl definitely help me narrow down the best set of options for how I'll use the truck. More to come once the truck comes in.

i to feel humbled as i am in no way a mister know it all about our great v10's. volkswagen maybe as i made my living off of them. i may be one of the guys who is playing with retuneing our motors with access to a set of rollers to see whats happening.
I don't and will never know every thing. just EACH of us, has in some way or another done something to our trucks to make it " my ride" in a personal way and has no problem with helping another out with what was done ,what did not work out, what did work, to help each other stay away from what was bad , esp. with how every thing costs today
All this talk of a death wobble .what are they talking about. i sure don't have any steering problems with my standard spring, 17 inch tire'd 05. best of luck with the ride when it comes in. just make sure your dealer place the order as a specail order not as a for stock truck so it comes in faster.
