Can anyone recommend a good brand of sliding rear window to use in my '78 F150? I would prefer a light tint and proabably something aftermarket since I would like a new unit. I think Pep Boys carries them but I don't know anything about their quality. I will be installing it myself. Fit and finish quality are most important, cost is a secondary concern within reason.
Claude, I have a C. A. Lawrence Products sliding window. It is a black frame with about 50% tint. Its been in for 2 yrs now, installed when the truck was painted. If i remember it was about 90.00 then. I replaced the original seal and the body shop installed it.
It looks great and is well constructed.I purshased it from the local truck/rv store. I had to waite about 2 months to get it as they may not have it in stock at all times.

I can't remember right now if my existing one or the last one was C. Larence (?) but, the first one had two windows that slid together in the middle and leaked a lot of air. The one I have now has only one sliding componet and does not whistle.
