I have a 2000 X and the AC blower doesn't function on the lowest setting. It is fine on the other 3. In addition, the rear air will not function either when I have the AC set on the lowest setting. Seems like it might be something simple that I can do rather than take it to FORD and pay a fortune.
Also, is it a known problem that the lift door in the back has locking issues? It locks and unlocks intermittently.
The Lock is an actuator problem. You may have to just replace the actuator.
I cannot really help with the AC control as it sounds electrical but it is also strange that the rear AC won't work when it the front is in the low position. I wouldn't know where to start other than to replace the switch with a known good one and take it from there.
