Still not sure where to connect the hose to put the stuff in for the recharge of the AC. I had read that post earlier...and it doesn't say anything about where...and I couldn't get the picture to enlarge.
passenger side of engine compartment. There should be a small black (mine was) cap next to a few hard lines (mine silver) that come up and away. Can't remember if the cap screws off or pops off. The cap is not bigger than a crayola marker cap. a little bit shorter though. Just went outside and checked. Remember I have a 7.3. Look left of the oil cap about 8-10 inches, and about 12 inches back from the second battery. The cap is on the right hand side of that part. Now thats what I was told.
Sorry I directed you to that thread because it has the tag pic with the charge amount.
So here is a pic as to where and is from an 05 V10 so not sure if yours is the same. Pointing to the cap that screws off to expose your low pressure connection that is on top of the accumulator.

Thanks for any help.

If the system is totally empty, I would not just add freon. It will not do any good if the system has air in it. If it does have air in it, you will need to attach a vacuum pump to remove the air and then replace the oil when you charge it. I just had my system recharged at Midas and they added 2.5 lbs to the system but my system was just low due to not letting it run during this past winter. Without gauges, you cannot determine the status of your system.
The recharge cans you can buy at local parts stores will only fit the LOW pressure side. The high pressure and low pressure charge fittings are different sizes.
Thank you all for the directions, advice and support...I think it is just low as the AC was working fine and then just got warm 2 days ago so now that I know where to connect to add we will see what happens.
