does anyone know what the timing should be set at, i have a 75 f-100 4x4 with a 390, 4 barrell edlebrock carb and a comp cam. all of the books i have say look on the sticker under the hood. well i have two probolems, 1) sticker aint there, 2) the truck came with a 360.can anyone help? the truck is runnin like crap and backfireing and i think that might be the problem. it backfires so much that it stalls the engine out.another thing , does anybody have a vacume chart for the vacume lines? that sticker is missing also.

hey what do ya know it workd.the timing was set at about 0. i set it at 10 then up to 12 to smooth it out a bit. after adjusting the idle mixture on the carb everythings fine. the truck has more power now. well seems to anyways. thanks for the hepl. does anyone know where all the vacume lines go from the intake manifold?????

I don't have too many on my '68 390. One to the transmission modulator; one to the distributor vacuum advance; one to the brake power booster and one to the PCV valve.
