I've got a problem with a slow coolant leak coming from my 351m just below where the rad hose connects to the engine(not from the hose)any help would be appreciated.
No it's not the water pump by the way you describe the location.
Sounds more like what Sparky said. A water pump would leak slow at first and would reveal itself as a puddle on the ground about a hundred miles from home.. Coolant but the thermostant housing suggests a housing gasget. What I do is change it and put lots of gasget goo on the gasget. I had one changed once that leaked. I have never had a gasget leak that was coated with gasget goo.
