Squeaky Dashboard Sound
Started my truck the other morning, sat for two days in 20-32 degree weather started fine but there was an annoying squeak in the dash, that stopped when I would stop the truck, and start again when I started moving again. I figured it was something to do with the spedometer being cold. The sound went away once the truck cab was warm. Anyone had this before, first time for me??

Plastic dashes will shrink in cold weather. Most vehicles make more noise in the winter or colder months than in the summer. This is evidence by whenever your cab warms it noise stops. Maybe its the speedometer but plastic will make alot of noise when cold.

Thanks for the reply, the squeak stopped and started with the truck moving and stopping, like a spedometer cable or something. I'll have to see if it happens again. This site has made me very aware of every odd sound my truck makes!
