need help building a BAD 351
yes i wanna build a 351W a BAD one. i want to produce atleast 420 HP and 400 ft lbs tq is this possible i dont really want to stroke it b/c i heard that whenever you stroke it, it shortens the life of the motor and isnt as reliabl/durable....can some one please help me just w/ what i should use w/ p/n and what i shoulnt use thanks or hek just tell everything i do need w/ p/n like a build a sheet/blueprint thanks

I think you heard wrong on the stroker kits, I've built a couple of the 408 motors from the stock 351 W engines. Maybe the guys with the problems bought the cheapest kit they could find???? You get what you pay for. With a 408 stroker, good heads and the correct cam, intake, carb, and ignition the hp and torque numbers you want to achieve are realistic... Last one I did was an all Edelbrock top end (including heads) with their Perfomer RPM package, still running great.....

you could also get on the 302-351 forum and find a ton of info. your goals are definately attainable even without stroking. ive got a stock stroke windsor with close to 450 hp. wouldnt want to drive it everyday though.
