i keep getting a message that i haven't posted in two weeks, so i thought i would try one. i put an album up. (finally an f100) i have always wanted one and finally got one. it needs everything, but that's half of the fun, right?
I'll reply, Congrats on the truck, LOVE THE WIDE WHITES! That is in my plans for this winter (Then again I said that last winter too) So what are your plans with the truck-What is your theme?
i see i am starting out with a good reputation, will that go away when someone finds out i'm putting a chevy in my truck?
I would stay true my friend, No transplants. Everyone complains every year after the f100 nationals that the truck of the year had a bowtie in it, You dont want to be subject to that do you? LOL, I'm just kidding you, Drop in what you like as long as it is what you want to do, Its not sitting in anyone else's garage.

Welcome to the site. I have no problem with you putting a Chevy in your truck (I did). Just be fore-warned that you will more than likely get razzed about it, but it is all in good fun. Another thing before anyone else says, since this is a Ford truck forum they don't like the brand bashing. Welcome to the site and it looks like you have a good start.

the wide whites are just for moving the truck. the chrome reverse wheels are reversed a bit too much. the tires are out to the edge of the fender. i have ordered american racing salt flat wheels, which look like an old halibrand design. the theme is just a driver. i have replaced the chassis with one from total cost involved, so it has independent front suspension with a power rack, power disc brakes, a nine inch rear end, etc.... the truck was last done back in the '70's and i had some customizing to undo. i'm trying to keep it fairly stock on the outside, but go all modern underneath.

The only problem with your engine choice is that we don't talk about it here. This is the premiere place on the web for information about our era trucks, almost all of the answers to your questions are here. But you will have to go elsewhere for issues with your engine. That is, if you have any . How you motivate yours is cool with me. Welcome to the board.
no brand loyalty here, himmelberg

Reason: spelling
So what's wrong with that? It's your truck isn't it?

i don't think there's anything wrong with it. i know some people don't like mixing brands. i had some extra parts that a member of this board came over and picked up, and he refered to it as "going over to the dark side" which i thought was appropriate.
