Welcome to the board. Don't worry about the transplant stuff. Just make sure you have a good sense of humor about it because you will take some ribbing for it. Its your truck, build in the way that it will please you!
From the pics I've seen of it, you are off to a great start!

I'm a darksider....lol...i'm not a fan of crossbreeding trucks but it's your truck so do what you want with it. I'm putting a mildly tweaked 302 in my 1957 F-250, it's getting to go on a 780 mile trip in 2 years with me. Welcome to the site and we are here to help you out.
Welcome to the Darksiders (we tend to have more fun...lol)

i also have a ford street rod that has a chevy 327 in it, so i've already heard all the "why did you...." questions. so i'm used to it, so fire away.
grncoup,
After visiting your garage, I now understand your user name! The truck is great and if it turns out half as nice as the "green coupe," you'll have a winner!
Thanks again for all the spare parts! Now if it would rain so I can finish welding my barn!
I'll be the first to admit to razzing a few about the Chevy into a Ford swap, but I will probably catch it more for my choice. A "gasp" Mercedes 5 cyl turbo diesel into a 53 F100. Do it right and if you must, keep the hood shut.
i see i am starting out with a good reputation, will that go away when someone finds out i'm putting a chevy in my truck?
If I ever find a cab for one over here then "one day" I will build a 55 or 56 Pickup that will DEFINATELY get me banned from posting pictures here.......even if I put a Ford motor in it ........no I'm not talking about a 55 or 56 F100
