Shift kit ?

I finished a 1981 F250 with 351M and C6. Engine machined rebuilt; C6 rebuilt by professional rebuilder. B&M shift kit installed after rebuild by self. I used the minimal changes instructions I believe for street; RV Towing. It was a disappointment, not much of a change over stock. If again I would make changes for Strip. I may use Transgo next time; they get good press on Ford Transmission Forum.

i like mine in my stick 351w and c6 with 145k miles. the 1-2 shift is firm and snappy and the 2-3 shift is firm. i only had the truck for a week be fore i put the shift kit in, that was 4 years ago. i used the rv/towing mode.
