Does anyone know where I can find straps for my 78 with a side mount tank? I've been to three different parts stores and the biggest Ford truck dealer in the area with no luck. Got the new tank ready to be installed but the old straps are junk. Any help or suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure exactly what kind of mounting you have on your tank, but an old trick I have used is to try mounting straps for furnace duct work. I know it is a cheat, and not "stock" but if it doesn't damage your pride, it will last forever.

 

I think JC Whitney sells a universal strap kit...worth a shot.
