New to site
I'm kinda new around here too, but thought I'd say hello and welcome you to the site! This site isn't too busy (compared to the diesel sites I used to haunt),
but seems like nice folks with good info.
BadDog
That is almost as bad as a guy dating women for years before he realizes there are other pleasures below the tummy. Take care, Wrench.
Welcome to FTE!
Your truck and mine started out life pretty similar.
Lotsa a great folks around here, except that Wrench guy! Just kidding, had to tease ya a little.
See ya around!

BRF250SD,I was looking at your picture gallery and seems we think alike. I plan on doing similar things to my truck when I find the money and time. Any tips?
I really like all the lights on the front. Would hate to to be in front of you at a red light in a car. lol
The lights don't come on, unless I get cut off by some little Mario Andretti wanna be rice car driver. I always love when someone just has to get in front of you, then crams on the brakes. These trucks handle pretty good for their size and weight, but stopping 7K on a dime, just doesn't happen.
With the truck as high as it is, I usually try to turn off the headlights at stoplights. I know it's annoying being at a light and having lights blinding you in all mirrors.
As for tips on gettting things done to it; shop around. Fortunately, I had all year in Afghanistan to bargain shop for parts and prices, so I did a large part of it all at the same time. If you can, try to do all the suspension and driveline stuff at once, definitely cheaper that way.
Big thing on the suspension work. DON'T SKIMP! You really get what you pay for on the SD's, as far as ride quality. If you want to lift it, stick with Donahoe Racing, Superlift, Skyjacker or Cage. Get adjustable shocks too. And whatever the manufacturer says is the max tire hieght for that lift, try to stay at least 1" smaller than the advertised max. Other wise, you'll be trimming more than you probably want.
Same thing with other accessories, I put the bars on the front, then wanted to add the front receiver and just had to take the bumper off again to do it. Not difficult, just a hassle.
Performance stuff. Just get a nice free flowing muffler and get rid of the crap y-pipe underneath. Other than that, all I added was the tuner and a K&N filter. I look at like this; the motor is plenty strong and extremely reliable. Why screw it up?
Hope that helps you a little. If you want prices for parts and stuff, I have a real detailed record of the parts, numbers and prices of the stuff I have. All in all, I think all mods, including labor is totaling around $7K.
