Injection pump interchange
Hi Guys,
Been lurking awhile and appreciate your knowlege; but the time has come to ask a question.
I have a 93 F250 5sp 4x4 that needs an injection pump. I also have an 89 F250 E4OD 2wd that is being retired, but it has an injection pump with less than 1000 miles on it. Any chance I could use the 89 pump? There are different numbers on the pumps, what's different? Sure hate to buy a pump right now if I could avoid it. Any ideas?

I just finished swapping the pump and it went well, 2 1/2 hours and it started without much problem.
Unfortunatly the truck runs exactly like it did before. My mechanic [and numerous other people] told me the pump was going south; glad I didn't pay him to put a new one on.
The engine seems to have a real soft miss at idle, runs good at light throttle and misses under load. I guess I'll have to pull the injectors and have them checked.
