Iowa's College Football Woes

After all was said and done, none of the 3 major college football programs could get it done. As usual, my beloved Cyclones(future alma mater) fell short by a field goal(I think Coach Mac finally realized our kicker SUCKS!), the Hawks(which I wanted to win) lost because of errors, and the Panthers just ran out of gas(not disrepectful, especially after that tough post season streak). Just wanted to see how you all felt about the seasons.

I might also add that I think Coach Ferentz will go to the NFL after his son graduates? Any thoughts?

Not saying I agree with the call, but in the rules it says if any part of the body is across the plane, and the refferee association released a statement that my Government teacher showed me, stating that he called offsides since the helmet was across the plane. Conference USA officiating is A LOT more strict than the Big XII, Big 10, SEC, ACC, etc...

Also, Iowa shouldn't have been in the position that those calls should've made a difference of a win or loss, the refs didn't miss a block for the punt that was blocked for a TD, or throw the TD interception. I wanted Iowa to win too, even though I am a HUGE ISU fan, but it just looks better for our record if Iowa would've won since we beat the Outback Bowl Champs, but they lost, it happens.

NOW, any thoughts on the season cuz all I hear now around here(near Iowa City) is b****ing and moaning about the game, its over and the refs might have seen something you couldn't from the cameras, ya never know. BTW, ISU got screwed over by replay, but they shouldn't have been in a position for that to make the difference in the game.

That'sa the trick to it, even if it was a bad call, they could have made up for it by not making the mistakes that made it such a close game at the end. Didn't watch it, I was at work, but heard about it.

Come on guys...the ref was looking at greenway's shadow. See how far it is in front of it is. The shadow reached the 23 yard line before the ball was even kicked. That guy is fast.

-> Outback Bowl Refs

lol, yea but wasn't he the guy that missed the block on the punt? I can't keep those Hawks straight they all look the same to me..lol. I don't really agree with the call, but that is just how the game goes, sometimes you get the breaks sometimes the other team gets them. Its just a game, even though the refs influenced the game, the thing is, Iowa screwed the pooch by not blocking and not tackling. Anybody hear if Ferentz is going to the NFL, I think he will if he gets the Packers job, I hear he is good friends with Sherman.
