De-pressurizing fuel system

Anybody know how to de-pressurize the fuel system on a 90 2.9L? Auto-tranny if that matters, which I don't think it does.

On the fuel rale on the back of the motor passenger side there is a valve (looks like a valve stem) remove the cap and I use a tire gage to release the presure. Make sure your motor is cold and no flames fuel will shot out of it. No pressurer until you turn your key back on.

It looks like a fuel rail!

Kinda hard to explain but if your 90 is like my 88, My vaule is on the driverside. Look on top of the engine. See where it says 2.9? That is the intake. Just below that on the drivers side there is a hollow metal rail type thing. It has appendages that go in between the intake runners. It sits ontop of the injectors and delivers fuel to them. On top of that rail sits a valve stem. Like the one for airing up tires. It should have a plastic cap on it. Unscrew it and do like 87 ford said. Use a tire gauge or a small scewdriver to relieve the pressure. A picture would be worth a thousand words about now. lol

If you don't like the idea of spraying gas on top of the engine, the usual method I've used (described in most repair manuals) is to disable the fuel pump (unplug relay, fuse, or inertia switch) and start/attempt to start the engine.

Fuel filter should be under the drivers side, inside the frame rail, might have a shield.
