I have this noise only at partial throttle, rpm change makes no difference...sounds kinds of like a penny being dragged across a table, really like a whisper, if i turn the air or radio on I can't hear, but not because it isn't there, it is just that quiet...I was just wondering what this may be or if anyone has ever had this "problem", I did a search on this forum and came up with nothing...BTW, it has a new EGR valve on it...It went bad and was making the same type of noise, only A LOT Louder!
EDIT: I can turn the speed control on and set it and the noise mysteriously goes away...

I know exactly what you mean. I have the same noise for 30K (2004) and have had it since it was new. I did have a throttle body replaced and a reflash at about 500 miles and I am not sure if it made that noise before that. I figured it was the fly by wire throttle body or a solenoid that controlled it. Sorry I don't have a fix or explanation but just wanted to let you know you were not the only one with the noise.
