Hello all,
Is anybody using a camper shell hoist in their garage? Any recomendations? I've seen them before and when I do a google search, not much comes up.
I have a low profile Leer color matched shell, and will want to pop it off in the summer.
I used to get a Jeep parts catalog in the mail that had a small winch you attached to the front of the garage that was used to lift and store the Jeep top. I'll try to find one and put the link on here. Is this what you are talking about or are you talking about the heavy duty four posts that sit on the ground where you jack up the top?
Thanks for the reply. It kind of a pulley system that mounts to the ceiling or rafters in the garage. It has four straps with u shaped hooks to lift up the shell.
I would definitely build your own- pulleys, rope, eye bolts and some type of cleat to tie off to. You could even use tiedown straps if it came down to it.
