I have a 90 ranger 2.4 lt, 2wd with a man. tranny and it runs like poo. the timing belt is in good shape with good tension the only thing that i found out of the ordinary is cyl compression #1 and #4 have 125psi and #2 and #3 only have 50psi this is my only form of transportation if someone could give me a heads up on this situation i would greatly appreciate it thanks
It doesn't sound good for you - no compression is usually not an easy fix. It can only be a few things that cause it: Rings, Head Gasket, Burnt valves, or something like a cracked block or head.
How are your fluids? Any gas smell to the oil? Any backfire up through intake? How many miles on the truck?
Also, maybe a mod can move this thread for you, as there will be better advise in the appropriate forum (4 cyl engines).
