Cone intake.....PS91 coil

Has anyone ran a cone filter straight off the intake pipe going to the engine ...I was hoping to do this and take that box right out of there .....and does anyone know if the Crane PS91 coil will go on a 2.9 ok ...Not to much spark for the TFI to handle, stock ignition on her. what are your guys feeling on flex fans do they really increase coolness and what size max could I get away with in my BII ....2.9 engine compartment ....TR

there is a system for cold start up on the bronco II that has a heat proof tube going from the manifold to the air box with a computer controlled vavle to decide when to acutate it depending on where you live would matter in removing it if you live at areas where it gets to freezing temperaters i would suggest to leave it on and put get a high flow filter in the box as a direct replacement for a stock filter ethier way you would expect to have longer engine warm up times , and have the computer sending you an error code sence your removing a computer controled device

The warm air control valve is activated by a bi-metal valve so the ECU won't know. You will have longer warm-up times, a lot of people remove them. Make sure you plug the vacuum port.

The vacuum line originates at the intake manifold, the same T that the MAF uses.
