I need somehow to convert this harnesses to accept RCA plug, harness is connected to VCR Expedition 02, factory installed entertainment system.I want to install a DVD player. Does some have diagram for harnesses which pin does what?
I have a diagram, though I could not upload it. But I don't think it would do you any good because none of the wires are labeled as to what they do, and what their signal levels are.
There are 3 pairs of wires that say "video shield". It looks like they may be sending the video up to the monitor is some sort of component form. I am assuming you are going to have a composite output on your dvd player. The only suggestion I have is to ask a local installer to see if the Ford system is in any way compatible with an aftermarket system. I did see some of aftermarket screens for about $250 that you could install, and get rid of the whole factory system.
Im going to add a dvd player in addition to the existing VCR, I need to know what wires goes where so I can tap to them without cutting anything, If anyone has a schematic of the 16 pin harnesses so I can determin what goes where it would help.
02 Ford Expedition
Rear Entertainment system 6.8 LCD Screen VHS located in the mid-consol
Rear of VCR has a 16 pin connector square 8 top and 8 bottom female
VCR model FD7200 S/N 13101835 I'm assuming is a Audiovox
I seen a few DVD players on the web plus a few that readers gave suggestions to get.
