Me as well Reason I ask about low speed running. . .I heard that running it low speeds all the time was bad for it. . .but that was quite a few years ago and from airplane hobbiests. It had something to do with it not running at optimum temp?

Well, haven't had a chance to go run the truck, the free time I've had I've been doing house work and working on the real truck. I'll post a pic later, looks mean as hell even with a chevy body on it

I have a extremly modified HPI Nitro RS4 MT 2. I have oh, nvm, the money invested is no thing for you to worry about, only me and my pocket. Right now i have a TRX2.5R thats been ported in it. RRP steel spur gear and clutch bell, heavy duty steel rear and front diffs, graphite upper deck upgrade, custom made skid plate, Ofna fail safe, 100cc fuel tank, THS Racing pipe, aluminum hexes, F-350 body, and oh the list goes on.
It's a lot of fun when its not broken but ya gota know the nature of the beast you own, kinda like old trucks, they're all different, you gota learn them one by one.

Anyone suggest a good clutch/flywheel for the TRX2.5R because the aluminum 2 shoe i have is just slipping and getting alluminum shavings all over my carb and chassis and muffler.....

Good luck feller R/C'ers and having fun is the main thing.'

Dustin

Well, the only R/C I can drive right now is the Mini Mauler. The transmitter, servo and reciever have died due to age (9 years) and the grub screw on the pinion gear decided to commit suicide in the night while I smacked myself in the head for not getting the spur gear and pinion gear cap on. Oh yeah, I got a new body for the stampede on Christmas.

1997 FORD F-150 with flaming skulls.

I also have for bodies:

1990 Ford Bronco
1997 Ford F-150 BIGFOOT edition
2004 Dodge Ram
1997 Dodge Ram BEARFOOT edition
HUMMER H2.

The guts on the pede are:
NEW! Trinity Chameleon 2 pro 19 turn
Venom 1800 6 cell
TRAXXAS XL-1
Futaba Transmitter, reciever, servo

Guts for the RC10T:
19 turn Trinity Chameleon 2 pro
Venom 3000 6 cell
Tekin Rebel 2
Futaba radio, reciever, servo.

I don't have a nitro, yet.

Nitro's are a whole nother beast to learn. The good thing about them is they run as long as you have nitro, battery/reciever batteries, and of course as long as you don't break them for as long as you wanna drive them. Sounds like you have a nice electric, but the electric can be way easier to maintain then the nitro's which get dirty as soon as you take them out.......Nitro's also just have that cool factor built in cause they have a real engine in em plus they're louder then hell.

Yea just the start up for me to have what i need to race, im very competive, and to keep up with the 800 dollar rolling only mugens, Rolling means, not electronics and no motor or pipe. Start up was 750.00 for everthing. But i had a 15% discount.

I know a guy that has dropped his savage's s-25 motor in his rs4...its insane. i hate the trx motors. There all the same and they never keep tune...

I was going to purchase a OS MAX .21 VRX or whatever it's called but then the blown engine in my Ford came along. The TRX2.5R has been good to me, especially after i ported it, but then again, it comes down to personal preferences.
My MT 2 has ran around a $1,000+ so far and now i'm just getting the tire/wheel combo and the clutch figured out. Any suggestions on the clutch/flywheel and clutch shoe count?

3 shoe will work fine. but if you want good performance look at werks racing for there 4 shoe clutch or orion for there 6 shoe clutch...

for the flywheel> use a vented one...it will work great

You can use metal 3 shoe clutches as well...metal shoes...

Nice lookin' rc. Just got the mini mauler up again, it has a real bad strip in the gears. Just waitin' on it to go out. I already got the spare gears, but it shouldn't be long before it's dead. I'm tryin' to decide on a nitro pede or brushless setup for my pede. Just for fun, don't got the cash yet.

Wow cheif, I've seen 'em around but never as cool as that one. I'd be scared to float her after all the time you put into it. Here's what I went through to get the RC10T up and runnin'.

Ordered motor, battery, ESC, motor spray and tire glue on a tuesday.
Got a call thursday sayin' they didn't have the Chameleon pro 2 so I had to settle for the amature.
That thursday picked up the Futaba PL2 transmitter, reciever and S3003 servo.
Got the package Saturday and had the ESC, motor spray, battery and associated pinion gear but no motor. So we checked the shipping list and it said backordered team losi bushings.
Got that straightned out and got the motor monday.

Now she's broke again.
