Hey PSlariat that is a bit too much. If not engine external oil leak, and by the way does your engine smoke any, what color white, blue? The other way you may loose engine oil is injector o rings. Check your fuel tank or fuel filter bowl, if you find your diesel with a dark tint or looks black, it's pumping engine oil back in the tank.....inj. o-rings.

The plus side of that is your replenishing the additives package to your oil load....a good thing!

my bet is o-rings on the injectors. the only time i have seen these burn oil when nothing is wrong is when you use synthetic. i used to maintain a fleet of ambulances that ran to about 195,000 before retirement

My old girl has 160k on her, and she doesnt burn any oil. I am freaked out with the fact that I can pull the dipstick after running her for 5k miles and the oil still looks new. It is weird, cuz my others just turning the engine on makes the oil black- but my stroker always looks good. I really want to see whats gonna happen when I put the synthetic in her

Hey, my girl runs like a champ. I spent some money getting the a/c fixed (took it to the dealer cuz if u have ever worked on ford a/c's you would know why) $900 and I felt my tranny slipping a little so i decided to put the sonnax kit in it. I fixed it, NICE!, BUt 2 days later, my tranny went out...... It was harsh, but luckily i have friends. He put in a newn tranny and t/c for $825 and I made sure he put the sonnax kit in it, It is s0) nice now, but damn,, couldnt have come at a worst time.. Oh well, she's my baby and now she is tip top, now i dont have to worry about that dang 4r100. Its been done...

sorry, just a little drunk.......;..
