will aftermarket computer module replace my computer?
I am putting a 351 from an 89 f250 4x4 into my 89 f150 which had a 302. I do not have the body of the truck, only the frame, engine, and trans and transfer case. i know i need a 351 computer for the 351 to run right. i know that the 89 f series dont have a replaceable chip. my question is this: if i buy an after market computer module that plugs into the computer, disconnects the chip in the computer and replaces it with the tuning chip, is that the same as swapping the whole computer, i.e. could i just the the 351 module and plug into my 302 computer?
thanks

No, putting in a chip module is not the same as swapping the entire computer.
The aftermarket module (chip) is based on the code that's in the computer. For example, if your computer code is A2Z we have to make a program based off of A2Z. You're better off starting with the computer code that is matched to the engine and letting us program a chip, instead of us having to take a code and redo the program for a different engine.
