I'm looking to do a 4-speed conversion on my '79 F-100. My problem is with the flywheel. I know Ford made a "internally" and "externally" balanced 302. How do I tell what I have?
Years ago I swapped in a 302 from a '76 car. I used the flywheel from my original 302 and the engine vibrated something fierce! I re-installed the flywheel that came with the engine and it was smooth.
I'm afraid if that I install the wrong flywheel I will have the same problem?
