460 manual flywheel identification
How do I identify flywheels at a swap meet? I'm looking for a manual flywheel for a '71 460 motor. It's my understanding that this motor takes an internally balanced flywheel.
1)Where on the flywheel is the part number?
2)What part number do I look for?
It is also my understanding that I could use a 390 flywheel (it supports a 12" clutch.
3)What part number would be on a 390 flywheel?
4)Are there any identifying physical characteristics on an internally balanced flywheel versus an externally balanced one?

The part # is on the back of the flywheel. It would be like this
D1AE-XXXX X
Thats all i can tell you because I need the same info on a 351w

So what vehicle do you think might have come with a 460 in 1971 but a Lincoln, T-Bird, Mercury Marquis ?
Maybe an F500 ?
No 460's w/MT's in F-series until 1983.

I checked and it has no flywheel for my truck 1996 351 5.8 std I did a swap E4OD to a 5 speed now I have no flywheel
