flywheel
want to know will a flywheel from a 7.3 powerstroker fit on a 7.3 idi and work right i need to ditch this dual mass but funds are low and i found a good used flywheel from a stroker cheap

Just had to replace mine last week. Was a lot of fun. I believe that the "stroker" fly wheel is 12 1/4 " and the 7.3 IDI's were all 11", 6.9's were 10". That's from the info I have in the 2 repair books I own. Replaced with the Luk rep-kit for $540. Big difference! Purchased from Carolina Clutch, link is in left hand column on this page.

well that figures LOL that are not the same. oh well. i had talked to the guy at carolina clutch, he is only about 75 miles from me, but with my wife being laid off and two kids, and just my income it is pretty darn hard to come up with the 540.00 i had found the stroker flywheel for 40.00 and the clutch kit for 50.00. and i was hoping they would work but i figured since i need that it would not work LOL.
