I was wondering,

First, is it possible to take the turbo components from a '95 7.3 turbo and just install them onto a '94 non-turbo, hence making it a '94 turbo?

Second, if it is somewhat possible what add parts would I need and how difficult would the project be?

Well first your talking about two totally different motors. The 95 is a powerstroke and the 94 is a IDI motor. Now their have been a couple people that have fabricated a powerstroke turbo onto an older IDI diesel but its alot of work. Your best bet on swapping in a turbo is finding one off a 93 or a 94 IDI turbo diesel.
Or buying a ATS/banks turbo kit........$$$$$$

 

Thanks for the quick return post ltfox. I thought it probably was a little more than I thought but then again it was just a thought and I am thankful that they are cheap because i have a lot more thoughts than money and I know those turbos are alot of money.

Where would I look for a used one, ebay? I wonder if I would ever find one in a junkyard?

ebay and junkyards are good places to look. Once in a while you'll see a 2wd diesel pickup w/turbo that may go real cheap. Steal the turbo and and spare parts ya want and the send the rest to the junkyard.
