I wear a mesh trucker's cap if I'm working outside in the sun in the summer. Other than that, I almost never wear one. I do have one floating around the back seat of the truck and occasionally wear it in the rain, though. I believe those are the only two caps I own.

I've got probably 40+ caps. I wear other hats too, though; Fedoras, racing caps, cowboy hats.

Always wear a hat when outside.
Exceptions:
1) at a funeral (at the cemetery) (if a pall bearer)
2) if I've just got a haircut
3) when carrying one of my sons on my shoulders (depends)
4) during a prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, or the National Anthem

Like Jake and Mil1on, I go through times when I wear a cap all the time and am currently in a time where I just dont put one on. When at work, I wear a hard hat anyway. During the summer is mostly when I like to wear ball caps, not ever gonna catch me in a cap with mesh on it.

I first started getting lots of caps from my job & clients.
I play golf,so it good for my head while in the outdoors here in the Texas heat.
Lately, I just keep collecting them, sports caps, racing caps, client caps ....

I have several but don't wear them very often. This time of year I wear knitted hats and hoods to keep warm, in the summer I typically don't wear a hat at all.

I wear a hat most of the time in the winter to keep warm and a cap in the summer to protect me from the sun...
