what i would do is just go to Les Shuab, i think thats how you spell it. but if you ask them about it they will have too answer, they will tell you how big the tires can be untill rubbing occurs, and they will tell you how big you can get the tires with out a lift on it., let me guess you want to be able to have the same gas mileage right?
i just put on a set of Terra Grapplers, size 305.70.R16, with just a leveling kit. fits awesome, and doesnt rub at full lock, even on the extreme articulation angles these puppies can pull on an RTI...
What about aftermarket wheels and tires? How big can you go with a 2.5 level kit? I will be in the market (after the snow melts) for wheels and tires and wondering what size I should go with.
Hey ROB64091 and any others running the 285/75R16' s .......
Any issues regarding need to reflash? Any odo concerns?
But most importantly... are these tires avail with tow load rate 'E'?
First post. Good forum!
Cheers!

Got the 285's last night for $755 out the door. Seems like a great price. They look A LOT better than the stock 265's, and seem to ride good. Thanks for all the advice!

Cool, souds like a good deal. Anything bigger than stock looks better. 265s are not a small tire but they just look dinky on a SD, espesially with those nice big fender wells.
I run 315/85/16 toyo mud radials on mine with the leveling kit. Mine is also a daily driver and I am very pleased with the ride. I also have always been a big fan of the bfg mud terrain tires for ride, longevity and off road balance but these toyos are awesome. They also perform very well in the snow. You can't go wrong with either one.
Yes I'm eager to know also as my next set will probably be 315's. Want to know if I need to look at getting wider wheels. Also, any offset/backspacing issues?
I have a set of 285s on my 01 f350 4x4 with levelin kit, currently at 46000 miles on them and have been real pleased. Gonna need new ones before too long but still ok for now. Was planning on going to 305s but figured would have to change rims. Anyone out there running 305s on stock wheels and if how it working?

im running 315's one mine 4x4 with level kit stock rims yes no prob there, but they will rub at full *** left and right.
Yeah I was more worried about rounding out the tread with a factory wheel, and going to that width. Was looking at the 305/70s due to not wanting to increase diameter that much, still running stock gears and with the 285s or 33" tires speedo is deadly accurate according to my gps
