If a person was rude to you and didn't want to discuss a situation maturely
on or off site, then offer either Neutral or Negative Rep comments.
I got a negative Rep points because the kid (16 yr old) jumped to a conclusion BEFORE he responded to me. Fair, heck no, but I've learned not to sweat the small stuff.
the way vbulletin is set up yes at some negative point they turn red although no one on FTE is at that point I have seen it on other sites that use this system.
Nope Dennis her's is still not red nor is she on the bottom of the rep list. I had to look because I hadn't seen a red one on here yet, so you made me go look.
here is the bottom of the pile on members list sorted by reputation ascending order. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/m...n&pp=30&page=0
The past is the past, and its time to move on fellas, lets get back on track regarding rep points
i've gotten my fair share of good and bad and ones that i have considered earned, the ones that I have recieved for my postings mean the most to me, cause what I wrote caused or motivated the person to take the next step and let me know they found it to be useful, helpful and or imformative info or advice.
how many reputation points does one need to move up to the second stage, with two dots? i have known about the system, and i know that i have 29 points or so.
for those with 3 or 4 dots, how many points do you have, just out of curiousity?
This is just to give a general idea and may not be accurate.

(and no, I didn't tag the negative rep on that post. Should have...but didn't).
That was probably me. That was one of the few occasions when a negative was definitely in order as was apparent to anyone who saw the post.
I like to give positive rep to people who post useful information, unique and creative ways for building/fixing something or sometimes they'll post something that just cracks me up and I thank them for the chuckle with some reputation. Afterall, this site isn't ALL business.
If you are giving out reputation points (positive or negative) - a great idea is to put in the reason why you are giving them the points, that way the person can see what you liked (or disliked) about thier post.
