I have a 04 E350 XLT and can't stand trying to change lanes when someone is driving on the side of my van between the rear qtr. and front window. turn signal in the front is not positioned in a way to warn them that I want to change lanes.
I thought about adding a small turn signal light on to the mirrors as I have seen other vehicles modified this way and it appears that most new large vehicles have them as standard equip. Or maybe add a turn signal light to the front fender area??? Has anyone else made this modification yet?
Not sure those will work. My van is a 2004. Does not look like anyone has tried modifying or adding turn signals to the stock mirors yet. guess I will be the first.
try Muth Mirror systems. They are replacements to the glass. I bought a set, but have not installed them yet. Lots of electrical work to get them installed. Waiting for the perfect weather! The wire goes back with the mirror drive wireing.
cool, the site shows how to get in the door and take the mirror apart. i'm pretty sure the pickup lights with signal are the same housing as the van(tow mirrors). now i can look at a pick and pull and see about getting the ford mirrors with lights on the outside, but the muth mirrors would look way hot with the ford ones.
