I own a 1996 F-150 4.9L Manual 2WD Truck. Today i was driving i did a U-Turn in a road, and my door buzzer started going off and wouldent stop. It did after i parked for a while then i started to drive again. And i noticed that whenever i turn around a corner it will start going off again then stop after i have taken the corner. Has anyone had a problem similar to this or have any idea what the problem could be?
I would suspect that the door switch contacts for the cab interior light and the buzzer are closing when the buzzer is coming on.
When this occurs again--stop the truck and open the driver's door and exercise the door jam switch with the truck engine running. Also check and see if the rubber weather cover on the switch has deteriorated and let moisture into the contacts of the switch.

I think it is my driver's side door that is the problem, because the door jam switch has been removed i guess from a previous owner, it also looks bent and has been messed with. Could it be something that could have gotten in there and is making it go off. And is there any way i can clean that out, without removing any major parts of the door.
Very Funny Quicklook. Im also located in Ohio, Mason to be exact. Id really like to give you a visit and see how much of a smart *** you are in real life. Besides that thanks for all the help from everyone else.
Ok, first thing to do is calm down. It was a sarcastic remark that he made but take it in the spirit in which it was offered - jokingly. Don't take anything you read on the internet too seriously.
From the sounds of it, there's a broken or loose connection at the switch. I believe you can get to it by removing the kick panel on the inside.

first, the other posts already told you what to look for.
second, i was not trying to be a smartass, i was just trying to post a joke to bring a little smile to forum readers faces.
third, it is illegal and dangerous to do u-turns. i know people that have lost thier vehicles and been in the hospital close to death from being t-boned during u-turns.
fourth, i live near cleveland.
fifth, if something like a post in a forum makes you all upset than you need to take a deep breath and have a beer.
lastly, why did you not comment on bigryan's comment? I knew he was joking, just like i was.
happy holidays!

Technically, it is not the anti-U-turn buzzer since this warning system is activated upon turning a corner at 90-degrees as well. (It appears to be working properly in 96Ford's case). I think Ford refers to this as a directionality shift indicator or an orientation change indicator which is activated by the OCI module. The circuit is closed (energized) when the vehicle is at rest and is opened (de-energized) when the vehicle is in motion. This system is also called the Change Alert Longitudinal Modulator - Deenergized Only When Navigating (CALM-DOWN).
