Tail gate slop ?
Just washed my truck and noticed chips on both sides of the tailgate near the bottom. Found that when I lower the gate on my 03 there is nothing to keep it from sliding side to side. It actually hits the painted/chipped surface on the right and the left. Funny thing is Ford put in the centering bumpers when it is closed, but not when open.
Has anyone else noticed this??

Mine slops so much the tailgate falls off the bottom hinges when the tailgate is down and driving down a dirt road with my boat in the bed. Been to the dealers twice to get it fixed, but it still falls off. It will be fixed this week though, I get a new one thank to the Better Business Bureaus and the states lemon law. It is a 2005 stock 6.0 that was in the shop 66 days before it was a year old.
