Thanks for the compliment .
Light output from the Hellas is pretty good......the billet grille has decent sized space between the slats. The way I mounted the brackets to the header panel won't work with the stock grille....
Your one to talk. After we talked in Feb. about the little Samurai, my wife trading her '03 RR for an LR3 and Disco 110's, it seemed as though you dropped of the face of the earth for a while.

Sorry Jonathan!! After helping hook DC up with tech support at ARB I ran into a series of problems with all my vehicles and my parent's which took up all my time. I pretty much gave up on posting and just used the boards for researching my problems. The only good that came out of it is after lifting the SD the wife won't drive it so it is "my" truck again. She took over the Rover so I guess I have to start building a different wheeling rig. Bummer. So if cashflow stops going out the door for repairs, next year I might be in the market for a Samurai again. Of course after seeing what DC did to his truck......
DC - Do you have any close-up shots of your bumper light work? I would like to see how you frenched them in. I will be interested when you get your reverse lights done as I am looking at different setups for additional lighting when I plow. Also do you have some high resolution shots of your truck pics part 2? Ones that would be good for screen backgrounds? PM me if you do.
Well Darren, that's the beauty of FTE. You can leave for a while to deal with what life throws at you, and when you do get a chance to post again, there'll be some familiar names to welcome you back.
I know what you mean about DC's rig. And as long as he stays out of my neighborhood, I can still pretend I have the coolest SD.
Ronin007
I'll upload some pics of the bumper build tonight or tomorrow and make a new thread with the pics and some info. There is another website that wants me to do a good step by step article with high quality good pics when I build Bear Hunter's bumper. If I do it, I'll post a link to the writeup here. I sent you a PM .

Actually DC I would love to have you drive that truck through my neighborhood. I live in an upscale neighborhood with a lot professionals that drive around in their BMW's, Jaguar's, Range Rover's, and Mercerdes'. And if my truck can make them feel inadequate (their wives told my neighbor, who in turn told my wife), I can't imagine what your truck would do to their giant ego's and inflated self worth.
EnviroCon
Your profile says your in TX......I may be heading down 35 to Austin in late July (Texas Heatwave Show)....let me know if I can help you out .
Bear Hunter
Thanks bro ......you check your email and see those pics I sent you
DC- I wish I lived near Austin. But I live in El Paso. I'd love to be able to see a SD that's actually built-up to play. Most of the lifted SD's I see here are "driveway trophies". What mount for the steering stabilizer's did you use?
EnviroCon
The stabilizer mounts are part of the Dynatrac SD Combo....along witht he straight tie rod, crossover steering, relocated heavy duty adjustable trac bar, etc.. I put Donahoe Racing Stabilizers in the mounts (they only work in there since I modified my steering stops to prevent my tires from hitting the springs).

All the SDs around me are setup to work as in plowing, hauling stuff, and towing (farm country). In other words exactly what they were designed for. There are very few modified ones so mine sticks out and I consider mine stock with only a leveling kit and larger tires.

Short story is I wheel a Range Rover in NY state. The trails up here are very tight and the Rover is too big some times (imagine trying to wheel an SD then!!!) Jonathan (EnviroCon) and I got talking about Rovers and then he told me about his Samarai when I mentioned I might get one. Now that the wife took over the Rover and doesn't want me to modify it anymore I will have to get more serious about what I am going to do about a wheeling rig now. However after looking at the mods that DC did and Bear Hunter I my reconsider that (thanks guys, I think???).
DC - Thanks for the PM and your truck is now my screen background!! Looking forward to your write-up and new gallery (I think. I know it will cost in mods!!). You got me thinking that I might hold off on the wheeling rig and mod the truck for awhile being that I have to drive it now.
Bear Hunter - Don't feel left out. I had your truck as my screen background and had to take it down. The wife kept telling me don't get any ideas every time she saw it and said I need to get it off my computer!!

Wow...I'm flattered. FWIW...all wives are the same way including mine
DC...replied to your email man....looks awesome bro
