I pulled the 460/C6 out of my '77 sCab Camper Special in one lift after removing the front clip. Used a HF unit with a load leveler as pictured. Working alone, it was a cinch.

Got a load leveler just was worried it would make the hoist tippy, wont be lifting it to high. Only have to move it about 12' and drop it into my f350. Biggest problem may be the motor mounts as the donor is a 88 f450 straight axle and the receiver is a 89 f350 frame set up for a 351w. Transmission x member is different and the towers may be different.
