I just bought a 2001 f-150 extended cab, i live in north dakota and the weathers been pretty cold and the snows been blowin around, I have electric windows and both of them keep freezing shut, its freezing to the felt on the outside..wondering if anyone else has this problem or if anyone else knows of anything i could do to stop this or prevent it, i have no heated garage to park it in either so i was wonderin if theres somethin i could spray on the window that wont harm it..thanx
Only problem is, it's in the single digits in Toga Town, ND. I doubt RainX will go on well at that temp.
Whattaya doing opening your windows at that temp anyway!?! :-)
Just kidding you. Sorry I don't have any good suggestions. My 2003 Screw doesn't have any window sticking problems. But I'm way down south in Bismarck.
Maybe just try pulling off that outside rubber piece, take it into the house and clean it up real well with some alcohol. Might have to be carefull though if it's still cold out, so you don't break any of the plastic.
It happens here in Canton, OH (think football hall of fame) where the usual temp is in the 20's - low 30's, sometimes lower. The windows usually thaw out after about 15 - 20 minutes of driving with the heat blasting.
