Sirius radio all the way!!! We have XM in our work trucks and all they seem to play is music you've never heard before. It's better then nothing, but I love my Sirius radio. Installed it on a custom bracket (self-tappers to the roof, not through the outer "skin" just the inner skin), right below the headliner. It's where I can read it very nicely, but doesn't block any of my vision. Ran the wires through the A-Pillar, hard wired it into the ignition and ran the antenna through the firewall to outside behind the hood on that black piece of cowling there the windshield wipers are. A very clean install!!!
I've had Sirius in all my vehicles and my home for 3 years now--just put in the head unit in my new F250 a few months ago. To my ear, Sirius has more creative music mixes than XM--and the "disc jockeys" are more knowledgeable. Either way, you'll never go back to local radio again!
I run a retail store that sells both, never hardly ever had anyone ask for sirrus, that is until Howard Stern signed on , I prefer xm, but there both good , and sirrus is selling alot better thanks to Howard Stern !
Right now I have one of each. The sirius I got for the truck, the car came with XM (6 months free I think). I prefer the sirius, they play more of the music I like.
I got XM around 6 months ago and love it. I hardly listen to FM radio anymore.
I have freinds who have both and we all have either for differant reasons. I got XM for the Auto racing, IRL and Nascar. Also they both have great comedy channels. Keep you luaghing all day.
XM channel 150 is great.
XM reception may be a little better here in NJ. I've been with a freind and his Sirius was a little staticy. May have just been where he mounted his antenae
The best thing to do is go to Sirius and XM websites and take advantage of their 3 day free listening offer. It's only on the web, but it will give you a good idea of what each has to offer before deciding. When your on your PC just keep each in the background for a few days. hope that helps.

Reason: mispell
My brother had XM before I got my Sirius. After riding 5.5hrs to the beach in my truck he switched to Sirius. Either way you go, you'll never listen to terrestrial radio again. The days of FM and FCC regs are numbered.

I have an XM radio and have had no problems. I don't listen to FM anymore. I dn't know about sirius music selection but XM has a good selection of just about everything as well as information channels for all major cities and weather updates.
I have had Sirius for a couple years and love it. It has much better song selection and more stations are commercial free. Also it is much easier to transport the device from vehicle to vehicle or boom box. Especially out on the lake and everything. They only have a few talk channels and a big variety of music stations plus the sports package where you can listen to live interviews and football games and such!
We've had Sirius at work for about a year and its great. Lots of good music and no commercials. Howard is gonna kick butt when he makes it on next year. HEY NOW!!!
If you are into baseball and Nascar get XM. Althoght Sirius will be carrying Nascar in 07. If you are just in to music, flip a coin. I have XM and really enjoy Opie and Anthony, Stern is an idiot IMHO.
I have XM in my other vehicles (Still need to install it in my new F350.) XM is great and I have been very happy with reception thru-out the US and Canada.
