Hello again,

Just found out that the door tag on the donor truck came off of a 73 F250.
So I do not think the axle code is good.

Did the 9" rear ends have a tag / a friend of mine said that some of the rear end information was stamped into the axle housing? If this is so where would it be?

Thanks again,

KenZ28

The tag would be under one of the nuts holding the pumpkin in the housing.

Hey All,

There was no tag on this rear differential, some one hase been into it, and was just wondering by my description in a previous post if I was correct that the description fit a 9". The front side with all the bolts that holds the big assembly in has a but load of orange silicone and maybe a gasket. I am trying to confirm that there is a good possibility that this is a 9" before I pull it out of the donor truck for a overhaul.

Thanks

The description for the second truck fits a 9" axle.
