Hey all...
I just purchased an 06 limited expedition with the factory navigation system....
Can someone explain how this nav. system works? I see I have like 12 map disks... Do I have to insert one of these each time I want to use the system?
What about a cross-country drive...? Leaving the east coast to the west coast?Do you have to change disks enroute? This seems like a major pain if true.
My friend's 2005 Lincoln Navigator just had 1 map loading disk.... He loaded it and he was done..... I guess you can't do this with Ford?
no you cannt there might a cd changer on the passngr side to load the disk if not you have to put in one at a time and if you change from east to west you have to put the correct disk in order for it to work.
You put your regional disk into the CD slot in your navigation system. As far as crosscountry road trip I really am not sure I haven't gone out of my region yet. I would punch in your information and if it needs another disk it will tell you. You do not put these disk in your CD changer.
