89 Ford Radio Question

Ok i know i need a new deck i just dont have the money right now. But i have the 89 ford cassette deck in it but when i play my cd played adapter, it keeps jumping, i cant explain it, but i have to track it back down with the fast forward buttons.


Help me. 89 F250 4x4 7.3 Turbo Diesel By ATS

hmmm... u use the little fake cassette adaptor thing? id say u need to kinda hold it in place

What do you mean by this? Like the little thing that you put into the cassette player that runs a wire to your portable CD player? If that's the case, it might be the CD skipping in the CD player, or may even be time to get a new adapter.

May want to try an fm modulator. It connects between the antenna and the radio and allows you to tune to a certain channel (88.7) to listen to your cd player. It may cost more than you want to spend though.

a new JVC CD head unit runs about $89
plug-in harness is cheap too,
install it yourself in 1/2 an hour.

u could buy an fm tuner and use it instead of the cassette adaptor. they are like $20 at wally world
