Letting the moderators do their job.

LAST EDITED ON 17-Jan-01 AT 09:04 AM (EST)[p]I've had a couple of new users complain to me about the conduct of old-timers making them feel unwelcome. To keep a well run board, everyone needs to let the moderators do their job. Users should not play net cop, no matter how well intentioned. If you must make a comment to a user about how things work here, do it with kindness.... and then, only if you must.

Recent examples concern whether a post belongs in a forum. FTE isn't as strick in this regard as we are concerning language. 4x4 postings are perfectly on topic for the 80-96 section if the 4x4 is an 80-96, polls are acceptable in the 61-79 section if the poll concerns 61-79 trucks, etc

I realize that some of the forums are getting quite busy and I understand that users don't want to wade through a ton of posts. Be assured that this is being addressed. As soon as I have time, the 80-96 will be split into 80-86 and 87-96. The 61-79 will be split into 61-66 and 67-79. The 61-79 is undergoing the process right now.

My only complaint is that the site is so informative that I cant get anything done around here.
Keep up the good work Ken
