front end squeak

i have a 94 question again. its a F-250 (heaviest 3/4 i could get...has a 1 ton rear end from factory = longer than normal studs) 351W 4x4. about a year ago (little less) the front end started to sag. i paid $600 to get it all rebushed and aligned. a few months afterwards, the front end started to squeak every once in a while when i turned. now it does it all the time. i was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and are there any simple solutions?

Best guess would be a "dry" balljoint.

Think it could be that you lost the little rubber pads between the leaf springs? Without narrowing down where the noise is coming from it might be a hard catch.

FYI, most F-250s came with the "1 ton" rear axle. There were two versions of the F-250, a LD and HD. Same body style (unlike the newer stuff) but the rear axle was either a semi-floating 10.25 or a full floating 10.25 (HD). There was also a D44 or D50 front axle.

The 10.25 full floater is infact the same axle used in the F-350s but most F-250s have it. My dad used to think ford put together a mixed bag of parts on this F-250 because he found out the hard way through parts buying that there are F-250 parts that are the same as the F-350 parts but ford did it on every one of them and not just his.

thanks for the info. but as far the leaf spring missing their plastic (or rubber) washer type guides, no they are still there. and the noise seems to be coming from the spindle. like the ball joints or something. i had one of the guys from here say that maybe the ball joints could be dry, but i know that they are not. seems like every 6 months or so we tear apart the front end (well brakes and wheel bearings) and replace it all, and in that process we grease everything. so maybe the ball joints are bad, but they shouldnt be because they are supossed to be new. i guess i'll just have to tear it apart this summer when i get time and redo it all

Did you ever find your problem? My truck is doing the same thing but I haven't had anything done to it yet. My truck makes noise as I turn sharp into a parking lot that is slightly uphill. Sometimes it makes a popping noise. Thanks for any help.
