Lol Raysvan I think you are fine buddy. You are right to be honest. Its just where exactly to put it when you run it through the intake manifold seems to be the question.

well i just did this this afternoon, like i said before . . . i had put it in the crankcase and in the gas tanks but not through the vacuum hose. anyway, did it and it smoked for a good while . . . that WAS fun lol

stalled but i turned it on again and kept going till the whole half a can was through.
i INSTANTLY noticed an even smoother idle than it normally has. now the normal 300 I6 shaking is more noticeable lol.

lol! Well glad it worked out for ya buddy. This stuff does work wonders. As much as we talk about it on this site, they should start giving the owner of this site money for advertisement! Lol but then again I guess money isn't the answer to everything..

Yea taht stuff is the same solvent as sea foam but deep creep was originally used for computers. Thats weird. My best friend told me about it cause he use to use it on servers and stuff when they would sit and get really dusty and it would like cake on.

OOPS, I am wrong.
NOTE:
Maximum fuel pressure (39 PSI) is obtainable at WOT or the vacuum hose removed from the fuel pressure regulator.

Sorry

Seafoam is good stuff. I've used it on several vehicles and have never had a problem.

i just got in from using this stuff. i ran it through the vacuum line from my brake booster. i ran 1/2 bottle through. it didn't stall on it's own so i shut it off, let it sit for 10 min then started her up. it took of extra effort to start her up. finally got her started enough, have a little gas and she purred like a kitten. smoked VERY lightly at idle then when i gave it some gas she billowed smoke. drove around the block about 1/4 to 1/2 mile and the smoking stopped. she already idles better. theres is a minimal increase in acceleration. i'll be using it on my mom's explorer to hopefully rid her exploder of pinging.

Later

I'm happy, too. This weekend after first reading this post I decided to give it a try. I have a '96 F150 and the 302 was pinging horribly on just a slight incline. I ran 1/3 of a can through the brake booster line and dumped another can in the tank. All I can say is wow. It really helped. It idles smoother and it almost eliminated the pinging. Also, it accelerates better, too. Used to surge a bit under 2000 RPM. I plan to do it again over Christmas before my tuneup to see if it will get rid of the pinging all together. I can't get over how much smoother it idles. It used to have a bit of a quiver. I can't say it helped the mileage any, though. Still crappy as ever. Maybe the tuneup will help that. It's been over 50,000 miles.

Great stuff. Used it to clean injectors and clean up a load of bad gas. Close to a "wonder drug" for your vehicle. Regards, gresebaul

Ahh, now I'm a believer!

Dealership told my buddy that his 1997 4.6L F-150 had 3 bad injectors. It "shuttered" while cruising on the highway. Estimated cost for the repair for $710.

He spent $6.57 (tax included) on a bottle of SeaFoam, and I ran it through for him tonight after work, going by what you guys told me. He drove it through town, got it warm, and then came back. I then removed the brake booster vaccum line, he revved it up a bit, I stuck the line on the full bottle, let it all suck through, and watched the smoke roll and roll!

Now, the truck is just like brand new! I'll reccomend this stuff to anyone!

How often is it reccomended to run through the fuel system?

Maybe every oil change or a couple of times a year should do it. gresebaul

I also think the stuff works great. I would be careful using it every oil change tho. It might start eating gaskets if you over use it.
