That one sorry (insert expletive here) cracked block Pumped some air into the cooling system and Mr. Wise Guy, you might know him as cookie88, says “Hey. What’s that?” Then he some how squeezes under the truck and points out this grand canyon someone put in my engine block.
Sorry about that. In retrospect it would have been more fun to keep my mouth shut and let you change the cooler....and then point it out.

If your guy with the magic welder can hook us up I'd vote for option #2, of course that puts us back to an oil cooler and injector cups change..... I also like option 3 in that event, swap both sets of injector cores for some bad boy squirters.

That is a big file...took 9 seconds to load on the satellite connection.

Actually I meant big fuel, not bio fuel. I am suspicious of too much HP stressing the block.
But if Jim has not modified his engine like that, then that theory goes out the window and I have new thing to worry about. Blocks cracking for no apperent reason.
I'm on stock injectors and Jim is stone stock.....not big fuel for either one by any stretch.....it can't be a coincedence that the both cracked in almost the exact same place. I mean it can be.....but it's still odd.

have you guys checked out your coolant lately?
Not to keep speaking for Jim, but his just had a water pump change, so fresh coolant, and I run Evans, so it's a zero pressure system...that is what has me baffeled the most. It has to be a temperature thing because it's nearly impossible that it was an overpressure.

Thanks for finding that cavern in my block before I got oily.

I'll call the magic welder man next week and see if he can help you out. I ain't welding mine. You saw that crack. That thing has got to be deep.

I still like the option where someone takes pity on my poor soul and trades me A new rebuild and a 6 speed manual trany for 2 long blocks and an E4OD. I'll even put a sticker in my back glass with their name on it.

Is that camera good or what?

You never know...can't hurt to call and ask.

I was actually hoping you'd let welderman practice on yours ...if it can be welded.

That is a very nice camera. Momma's gotta be happy we didn't mess it up.
